ECS 8520 Area Control Unit
The ECS 8520 Area Control Unit is a programmable unit which enables luminaires controlled by ECS 8000 or WireMaster Switching Units to be operated from a remote switch bank, without the need for switch wiring to each individual Switching Unit. The function of each switch input can be programmed at the Area Control Unit, thus providing flexibility to the switch/luminaire configuration. In multi-storey buildings it is usual practice to allow one Area Control Unit per floor. Similarly, in industrial or similar buildings with more than one clearly defined zone, one Area Control Unit should be used in each zone to provide a
flexible switching arrangement.
