Area Controllers are connected together within an installation on a spine bus or TCP/IP network. Each will distribute a separate field bus to allow connection and subsequent management of Lighting Control Modules. In this way, the Lighting Control Network is divided into sections for data integrity and load limitation purposes whereupon a flexible, networked, lighting control solution is produced. Groups of luminaires and sensors or switches may be created and then controlled on the basis of occupancy, daylight level, or user override.
